Toshiba Home Toshiba Phones

We have 5-pack sales on some of our Toshiba VoIP Phones.

Toshiba’s flagship business telephone sets have been voip since 2003. The flagship is also shared with the Digital models. Both provide almost exactly the same user experience. Each Voice Over IP (VoIP/IP) phone uses your data network to communicate between the PBX and its telephones. Toshiba's 5000 series VoIP telephones represent Toshiba's 3rd generation of VoIP. They are backwards compatable with older Toshiba VoIP (run in 2000 series mode automatically). The 5000 series VoIP phones all have Backlite displays and have a full-duplex speakerphone.

Technical details: Most Toshiba's 5000 series VOIP sets have a 1GB data connection and include an extra 1GB connections for your computer ("one wire to the desk" is possble) (3 new cost reduced models offer only 100MB). The phones can be powered by a "Power over Eithernet" (POE) switch or locally powered with a power cube. Phones support Voice Priority (DIFFSERV or 802.1pq including VLANS. 5000 series phones support G.711 or G.724A codecs. Toshiba 5000 series uses the MEGACO protocol that allows full features and functionality like that of a hardwire sets.

SIP phones are another kind of VoIP phone Toshiba supports. See Telephones page.

Toshiba’s current model VoIP/IP phones are the IP5000 series.

The IP-2000 series are still available new (previous generation).

The IP-5000 are meant to be a replacement for any Toshiba VoIP phone model.
